MIchaela comes to us after graduating from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in Psychology and Sociology with a concentration in Human Services. She is excited to spend some time learning by traveling and exploring before she pursues her Masters in Mental Health Counseling.
Michaela’s plan to make the world a better place is to work towards solving gender inequality in the US as well as internationally. She also believes that spreading optimism, empathy and understanding is the key to creating a more compassionate and tolerant world.
Michaela says, “I can’t wait for the adventures that lie ahead this summer! I’m as excited as I was when I was 17 and behind the wheel of a car for the first time with my friends in the back seat. This summer is full of possibilities. I can’t wait to help my campers learn and grow and to see what they have to teach me as well!
Michaela’s favorite part of nature is the mountains and any body of water she can leap into!
