Rachel Austefjord

CMR staff since 2014

Rachel, the crazy and fun CMR lifer has spent three summers on staff and thirteen summers at camp, the first ten summers as a camper and CIT. Rachel contributes as an enthusiastic and perceptive Challenge facilitator, serving often as the lead! She also shares her camp knowledge of the Colorado outdoors as our Outdoor Living Skills Director! During the school year, she attends CU Boulder's Business School and works at the CU Outdoor Program. She has studied abroad in Sydney, Australia, and plays on CU Women's Ultimate (Frisbee) team!

At the Ranch as our OLS Director and outside the Ranch, too, Rachel gets people involved in the Outdoors and Nature. “If everyone sees how amazing and important our parks and wildlife are, they are sure to want to protect it!” Rachel’s plan to make the world a better place is to have a great time, and to make sure that everyone around her is having a great time as well. “I think I’ve decided that I am going to be at the Ranch for the rest of my life, and I can’t think of a better place to make people happy.”

Rachel would like you to know, “I have so many great stories to tell about my recent adventures from traveling across the USA and abroad. I know the kids love my stories, even if I do tell the same ones a hundred times. Rachel says, "I'm so excited to come back to the Ranch this Summer. Every summer keeps getting better and better, and this one is sure to be the best yet!"
